THE ORIGIN OF OUR TEAK

From South Asia. Crafted by hand.

One wood has been trusted for centuries. One craft has shaped it with care. We source directly from the forests — no shortcuts, no middlemen.

Teak forest origin

Teak plantation - Central Java, Indonesia

01 · THE WOOD

Teak from Southeast Asia

Grown in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, teak is naturally dense, water-resistant, and built to last generations.

02 · THE CRAFT

Shaped by skilled hands

Every utensil is carved and finished by craftspeople who have worked with teak wood for generations. No machines. No shortcuts.

03 · THE PROMISE

Sustainably sourced. Always.

Harvested responsibly, finished without chemicals, shipped directly to you. What's in your kitchen should be as natural as your food.

"My grandfather carved teak with the same tools I use today. The wood hasn't changed. Neither have we."

The difference

What you get with Teak & Grain.

Not all kitchen utensils are created equal. Here's why it matters what you use to stir, flip, and serve.

Teak & Grain Others
Safe for non-stick cookware
Incredibly gentle on all surfaces. Never worry about scratching, scraping, or ruining your expensive non-stick, ceramic, or cast iron pans.
Zero melted microplastics
Plastic and nylon utensils begin to invisibly degrade at high heat, shedding toxins into your meals. Teak is 100% natural and safe.
Naturally heat resistant
Confidently rest a spoon on the edge of a hot pan or stir boiling soups without warping, melting, or conducting heat up the handle to burn your hand.
Sustainably sourced teak
Harvested responsibly from managed plantations — every piece is traceable to its origin, not mass-produced from deforested woods.
Built to last decades
Plastic melts, silicone tears, and cheap bamboo splinters. Properly maintained teak is a premium purchase that outlasts everything else in your drawer.
30-day risk-free trial
Cook with them in your kitchen for 30 days. Full refund if you're not convinced — no questions asked, no return shipping hassle.
PLASTIC UTENSILS TEAK & GRAIN

Plastic and nylon utensils invisibly degrade and melt at high temperatures; teak remains solid, safe, and entirely natural.

The hidden danger

What melts into your meals.
You'd be surprised.

Plastic and nylon utensils seem harmless. But every time they touch a hot pan, they invisibly degrade, warp, and melt. Teak is entirely different. It is naturally heat-resistant, meaning nothing synthetic ever leaches into your family's food.

Safe for non-stick pans
Incredibly gentle on cookware. Never worry about scratching, scraping, or ruining your expensive non-stick or ceramic coatings.
Naturally heat resistant
Confidently rest a spoon on a hot pan or stir boiling soups without warping, melting, or burning your hand.
Zero melted microplastics
High heat breaks down plastic and nylon, shedding toxins into your food. Teak is 100% natural and safe.
Naturally antibacterial
Teak's natural oils actively inhibit bacterial growth, making them incredibly safe and easy to maintain with a quick hand wash.

Care guide

Nine pieces. Built to last.
Here's how to keep them that way.

Teak is naturally resilient and moisture-resistant — but your utensils will last decades longer with a little routine care. It takes less than a minute.

Step 01
Rinse immediately after use
Don't let food dry on them. Rinse with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap right after cooking — especially the slotted and perforated pieces.
Step 02
Hand wash — never soak
A quick scrub under running water is all it takes. Never leave them submerged — soaking is the fastest way to crack and split teak handles.
Step 03
Oil every 2–3 months
Utensils need less oiling than a board — every 2 to 3 months is enough. Rub food-grade mineral oil along the grain, let it absorb for 10 minutes, then wipe clean.
Step 04
Hang or store upright
Each piece has a hanging hole for a reason. Hang them up or stand them in a utensil crock — lying flat in a damp drawer traps moisture and dulls the finish.
Never do this
  • Put them in the dishwasher
  • Leave them soaking in water or cooking liquid
  • Rest them in a hot pan or on the stovetop
  • Use olive or vegetable oil — they go rancid in wood
Always do this
  • Rinse and hand wash immediately after cooking
  • Dry thoroughly before storing
  • Oil every 2–3 months with food-grade mineral oil
  • Hang using the hole or store upright in a crock

Safe for non-stick cookware: Teak is naturally smooth and won't scratch your non-stick pans, ceramic, or enamel cookware — unlike metal utensils. Every piece in this set is safe to use on any surface.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before — and after — you order.

01 What exactly is included in the 9-piece set?
The collection equips you with everything needed for everyday cooking and serving: a standard spatula, an angled spatula, a slotted spatula, a pasta server, a slotted spoon, a deep soup ladle, a mixing spoon, a flat serving spoon, and a skimmer.
02 Will these scratch my non-stick or ceramic pans?
Not at all. One of the biggest advantages of premium teak is how incredibly gentle it is on cookware. Unlike metal utensils, these will never scratch, scrape, or degrade your expensive non-stick coatings, cast iron skillets, or ceramic pots.
03 Are they safe for high-heat cooking?
Yes. Teak is naturally highly heat-resistant. You can confidently leave a spoon resting on the edge of a hot pan or stir boiling soups without worrying about it warping, melting, or conducting heat up the handle and burning your hand.
04 Why are teak utensils safer than plastic or silicone?
Plastic and nylon utensils begin to invisibly break down and melt at high temperatures, shedding microplastics directly into your meals. Teak is 100% natural, non-toxic, and naturally antibacterial. It gives you absolute peace of mind that nothing synthetic is touching your food.
05 Can I put them in the dishwasher?
No — and this is important. Just like premium cutting boards, wooden utensils should never go in the dishwasher. The intense heat and prolonged water exposure will strip the wood's natural oils and cause it to crack over time. A quick hand wash with warm, soapy water is all they need.
06 How do I maintain them so they last?
Simply wash them by hand and dry them with a towel immediately after. To keep the wood looking rich, vibrant, and protected from moisture, rub them down with food-grade mineral oil or a wood butter once a month, or whenever they start to look a little dry.
07 What does "sustainably sourced" actually mean?
Our teak is sourced from responsibly managed plantations — not old-growth forests. Plantation teak is grown specifically for harvest, which means no deforestation and a fully replenishable supply. Every piece is carved from wood that was grown with its end use in mind.
08 How does the 30-day trial work?
Use the set in your kitchen for 30 days — stir your soups, flip your pancakes, put them to work. If you're not completely satisfied for any reason, let us know within 30 days. We will issue a full refund immediately, and you won't even be required to go through the hassle of shipping the items back to us.
